| Description/Notes: | Primary Purpose: Direct and manage the DAEP instructional program. Supervise operations and personnel at campus level. Provide leadership to ensure high standards of instructional service. Oversee compliance with district policies, success of instructional programs and operation of all campus activities. |
| Qualifications: | Education/Certification: Master's degree in educational administration or a related field Texasprincipal orother appropriate SBECcertificate Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) certified (or willing to obtain) Special Knowledge/Skills: Familiarity with issues related to students at-risk of dropping out of school Working knowledge of curriculum and instruction Ability to evaluate instructional programs and teaching effectiveness Familiarity with high school curriculum and graduation requirements Awareness of and ability to access community agencies and organizations Ability to coordinate campus support operations Ability to manage budget and personnel Ability to coordinate campus functions Ability to interpret policy, procedures, and data Strong organizational, communication, public relations and interpersonal skills Strong background in student discipline and restorative practices Experience: Five years’ experience as a classroom teacher or instructional leader |
