Description/Notes: Primary Purpose:
This position is responsible for the configuration, implementation, and maintenance of various technologies managed by the Technical Services Department; which is responsible for the configuration, implementation, and maintenance of technologies that support the Region 10 internal and external initiatives. The Network Administrator II oversees the ongoing management of the Fiber 10 Network Consortium along with outreach to LEA technical staff to assist and improve the level of services provided.

Specific Responsibilities and Duties for the Network Administrator II:
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for successful execution of assigned projects
Manage the rollout of technology projects to participating LEAs or internal clients and provide ongoing support throughout the implementation
Learn and gain high proficiency in leveraging continuous improvement tools to support stakeholders
Collect and use continuous improvement feedback to make improvements to the programs, supports, and resources
Manage all aspects of the Region 10 Fiber Network Consortium, including coordination between fiber service provider, Region 10, and member consortium districts
Schedule and perform site visits at consortium member districts in conjunction with vendors and district representatives as needed
Manage equipment and fiber installation logistics, IP configuration management, and district escalations to ensure timely service installation and resolution to service disruptions
Conduct field visits to Region 10 LEAs to gather information about technical needs, learn about programs and priorities, and communicate those to appropriate TDS personnel
Communicate TDS programs and services to Region 10 LEAs
Analyze and identify potential areas of service improvement
Collaborate with team members in the revision and presentation of the TDS service offerings to Region 10 LEAs
Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks
Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security
Managing scheduled upgrades
Investigating faults in the network
Provides emergency on-call support
Facilitate positive relationships with internal and external customers
Qualifications: Education/Certifications:
College degree is preferred. Training (corporate, military, certificate) in lieu of college will be considered. Management and/or industry experience will be considered in lieu of college
Current MCSE, CCNA, VCP, Red Hat, SUSE, and / or other Linux certifications are preferred

Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management

Knowledge of project management tools such as Monday.com, JIRA, or similar tools
Knowledge of G Suite and Microsoft Office productivity applications, including Excel and PowerPoint

An ability to learn new technologies quickly
Several years of experience with Windows and/or LINUX Server platforms
Experience in directory services (particularly LDAP) and application management.
Knowledge of LAN/WAN configurations to include experience with routers & switches, internet firewalls, and wireless technology.
Strong familiarity with TCP/IP protocol, DNS and DHCP.
Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Virtual Server Environments to include VMware or Hyper-V.

Experience:
Four or more years managing Windows and Linux Server platforms is preferred
Salary Range: $64,830 - $85,510 - $106,190 (Salary estimate based on experience and skill set)
Benefits: Up to 21 holidays, 10 earned personal leave days, 10 vacation days and pay $500.00 per month as an employer contribution to assist with health insurance.
