| Description/Notes: | Direct and manage the instructional program and supervise operations at the Early College High School (ECHS). Provide instructional leadership to ensure high standards of instructional service. Direct the implementation of district policies and instructional programs and manage the operations of all campus operations and all campus activities. |
| Qualifications: | EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university Valid Mid-Management/Principal’s certification Certified appraiser in district’s approved appraisal system SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Good communication skills (verbal and written) Working knowledge of curriculum and instruction Ability to evaluate instructional program and teaching effectiveness Ability to manage budget, personnel and coordinate campus functions Ability to explain policy, procedures and data (verbal and written) Knowledge and understanding of college transition and college readiness resources, research, work and standards Understanding of the TEA ECHS Blueprint Familiar with the yearly Designation Renewal Process Ability to maintain a working relationship with Institute of Higher Education (IHE) Ability to recruit students that collectively match the demographic as stated by Benchmark 1 in the TEA BLUEPRINT Ability to successfully interact with students, professional employees, parents, and district patrons Such additions and alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Trustees may find appropriate and acceptable EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years teaching experience Five (5) years of administrative experience (preferred) |
