Description/Notes: | Primary Purpose To support system development and integration between local education agencies (LEAs), Student Information Systems, Learning Management Systems, and other online entities. This list of essential functions is not exhaustive and may be supplemented. ♦ Actively participate in and/or provide leadership for inter-departmental teams to help improve student performance in the region, to improve the ESC’s internal operations, and to meet the established goals and objectives of the ESC ♦ Is responsive as first point of contact to all stakeholders in the education community. ♦ Collaborates effective with internal and external customers for successful integration of LEAs with online entities ♦ Designs, develops, and implements computer programs to achieve desired results ♦ Monitor quality and security performance of applications through testing and maintenance. ♦Develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, user community, and others contacted through job. ♦ Support instructional ♦ Plan, organize and control assigned projects ♦ Modifies existing programs to meet end-user needs. ♦ Prepares program documentation, writes operational instructions, and prepares end-user manuals. ♦ Performs other duties as assigned. |

Education/Certification: ♦A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Management Information Systems is desirable or equivalent experience. Special Knowledge/Skills: Any combination of education and experience which demonstrates an ability to perform the duties of the position. Preferably, consisting of at least: ♦Knowledge of principles and methods of systems procedures and analysis in an interactive database, systems environment. ♦Knowledge of SQL ♦Knowledge of PHP ♦Knowledge of C# .Net ♦Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript and web development frameworks (Bootstrap, jQuery) ♦Knowledge of API design, development, and integration ♦Knowledge of Learning Management Systems administration and implementation ♦Knowledge of design and implementation of data standards and interoperability for educational data ♦Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills. Experience: ♦2 years of Webservices development ♦2 years of SQL development ♦Object Oriented Programming and MVC experience desired |
Salary Range: | $78,580 (minimum) - $95,829 (midpoint) |
