| Description/Notes: | Evaluate and provide leadership for the secondary instructional program of the district as it pertains to the content areas of English Language Arts, Reading and Writing, Social Studies, Science and Math, CCMR, and CTE. Assist in the development of a comprehensive secondary assessment program and in providing disaggregated data for the improvement of student achievement. |
| Qualifications: | Education/Certification: • Master's degree in education required • Valid Texas teaching certificate, preferred • Principal certificate preferred • Texas / District Evaluation Tool training required Special Knowledge/Skills: • Skilled in the use of descriptive analytical statistics, data interpretation and expository writing • Skills in research and evaluation design • Skilled in making public presentations • Knowledge of district instructional programs and services • Adept in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the academic programs with secondary teachers, instructional coaches, and principals • Skilled in integrating technology and the content areas • Knowledge of secondary curriculum alignment and implementation to TEKS • Knowledge in coordinating the secondary program of state required criteria referenced testing • Knowledge in providing disaggregated testing data for secondary campuses • Communicates effectively with groups and individuals internally and externally • Contributes to the recommendation of sound policies directed toward secondary program improvements Experience: • Minimum of five years experience as a classroom teacher • Minimum of three years administrative experience required (secondary principalship preferred) • Supervisory experience required |
| Salary Range: | Base ($99,336) plus Experience |
