| Qualifications: | This position requires knowledge of curricula, and special education in order to ensure that services and individualized education plans are provided for special needs students. This position requires compliance with all state, federal and local requirements. Qualifications include but are not limited to a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university, knowledge of federal and state special education law, and understanding of individualizing for special needs students. In addition to the qualifications, applicants should have the ability to communicate with students and parents, ability to implement policy and procedures, ability to interpret data, and ability to manage paraprofessional personnel. Preferred experience includes teaching experience in a special education setting; experience in managing paraprofessional personnel and caseloads; and experience working with computer programs to manage special education information. |
