Job Title: Technology Specialist
School: Goodrich ISD
Campus Description: Goodrich ISD is situated in Polk County on the west side of Hwy. 59, about 8 miles south of Livingston, Texas, and fewer than 30 minutes from the numerous recreational activities offered by Lake Livingston, the second largest lake entirely within the state of Texas. Lufkin is about an hour north, and Houston is about an hour south. GISD is a 1-A rural school district with a total student population of approximately 250 students in grades PreK-12. While students and staff have full access to the up-to-date technology and programs needed for staying competitive, Goodrich also retains quite a historical legacy as home of one of the few remaining operational school buildings constructed through the Works Progress Administration in 1934, lending a decidedly nostalgic atmosphere of "yester-year" to this educational community. The low student/teacher ratio (averaging 11.9 in the 2022-2023 school year) contributes to a camaraderie among staff and among students that is difficult to match elsewhere.
