| Description/Notes: | To provide leadership for professional learning for department and campus special education staff in the implementation of evidence-based practices in specially designed instruction across the continuum of special education settings. Support District and campus leaders and staff in improving instruction for students with disabilities through analysis and monitoring of special education and program data. |
| Qualifications: | Education/Certification: Master’s degree Valid Texas teacher’s certificate in special education or license in a related field (SP, SLP, OT, PT, etc.) Valid Texas certificate in Supervision, Administration, and/or mid-Management Administration preferred Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of best practices for special education programming, including curriculum and instruction and behavior supports Knowledge of best practices in development and delivery of professional learning Knowledge of legal requirements related to special education programming Ability to evaluate special education programs, services, and effectiveness of service providers Ability to resolve conflict and effectively manage complex situations Ability to manage budget and personnel Ability to coordinate District functions Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills |
| Salary Range: | $88,500 Actual salary will be calculated based on experience. |
