| Qualifications: | QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree in appropriate field Masters Degree in appropriate field or CPA certification, preferred Seven years experience in financial management with at least five years in a supervisor position, preferred Demonstrated ability and knowledge in the functioning of public school finance in Texas TASBO certification, preferred SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Knowledge of advance techniques involving school finance, budgeting, accounting systems, and economics, Knowledge of financial applications and accounting Knowledge of budgeting principles and practices Knowledge of district policies and procedures Knowledge of bond issuance and debt management. Knowledge of acceptable supervisory practices Communicates effectively with others Prepares accounting reports of considerable complexity Evaluates accounting problems, develops pertinent data, and recommends improved procedures Interprets, researches and analyzes data and reports Works collaboratively in team based environments |
