| Description/Notes: | The Superintendent is accountable to the Board of Directors of Golden Rule Schools, Inc., charter holder of Golden Rule Charter School. The Superintendent will be the chief administrative officer and the educational leader of Golden Rule Charter School. The Superintendent and the Board of Directors work together to develop, refine, and implement policies and programs that help achieve the educational mission of Golden Rule Charter School. The Superintendent will be the face of Golden Rule Charter School in the community and among business and government leaders. |
| Qualifications: | The skills, characteristics, and qualifications listed below are highly desirable in a Superintendent: • Adept at building a strong rapport and establishing working relationships with many interest groups inside the school and within the community itself to maximize their effectiveness. • Ability to cultivate a safe, collaborative, inclusive and empowering culture and climate. • An established understanding and plan regarding racial equity and equitable teaching practices and learning experiences for ALL students. • Strong background in education with a dedication to serving students and their communities. • A community leader with a passion for public education and public service. • Ability to envision and drive growth and continuous improvement of the school into the next decade. • Knowledge of charter school functions and understanding of the roles of the Board, Superintendent, and campus administration. • Thorough knowledge of school law, school finance, and curriculum and instruction. • Proven record of improving academic and organizational performance. • Ability to evaluate all instructional areas. • Ability to manage budget and personnel. • Ability to implement and manage District-wide policies and initiatives. • Strong organizational, communication, public relations and interpersonal skills. Qualifications: • Master’s degree in Educational Administration or education-related field required, Ed.D. or Ph.D. preferred. • Valid Texas School Administrative Certification required. • Valid Texas Superintendent Certification preferred. • Combination of at least 8 years of successful teaching and leadership experience at the campus and district level, preferably in a charter school setting. |
| Salary Range: | $140,000 - 180,000 |
