About You

As the Proposal Administrator for Risk Management Services, you will have primary responsibilities for coordination and submission of all responses to formal Requests for Proposals (RFP) for the TASB Risk Management Fund (Fund) offering coverage and services that includes: Property, Auto, Workers’ Compensation, Liability, and Unemployment Compensation to Texas public school districts, community colleges and other educational entities. This position is a Texas-based hybrid role working at our Austin headquarters.

A Typical Day

Upload detailed proposal content including any Pre-Bid/Proposal meetings, market requests, addendums, and other requirements on a variety of electronic bidding service websites.
Develop and maintain bid response procedures and templates to support accurate, complete, and on-time responses to requests for proposals from current and prospective members of the TASB Risk Management Fund.
Review all RFPs to identify unusual, unique, new, or pertinent information to ensure accurate and complete bid response.
Develop and maintain an accurate and up-to-date coverage and program answer library for all Fund coverage, programs, and services.
Edit responses to provide a cohesive final product including correct format and consistent voice following association communication guidelines.
Manage and adapt proposal content to personalize each bid response.
Maintain, monitor, and update all standard documents/templates included in the responses to ensure they are up-to-date, relevant, and compliant with all legal bidding requirements for the Fund and its members.
Provide quality assurance review on final proposal content prior to distribution.

How You’ll Make an Impact

You will have the opportunity to work closely and collaborate with underwriting, marketing, claims, legal, risk solutions and other divisions to ensure that proposals are compliant with the public entity purchasing requirements and meet all prescribed delivery deadlines.

Position is a hybrid position based at the Austin headquarters with two onsite days most weeks.

Qualifications: Skills For Success

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in business, purchasing, or related field strongly preferred.
5-8 years' experience preferably with a public entity or high-volume purchasing environment in preparing and answering complex request for proposals.
Experience in public education, risk pooling, insurance, or similar field preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Proficient use of various software tools including databases and enterprise-wide management information systems, and graphics.
Master level skills in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PDF creation/conversion.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Proven success in multi-tasking and time management
Ability to collaborate, work successfully in a team environment, and adhere to strict deadlines.
Make appropriate and sound judgments in writing contractual program content and deviations.
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to work under tight time restraints.
Ability to understand and implement process or document changes based on modifications to products
