| Description/Notes: | DATE: January 26, 2024 POSITION TITLE: Secondary Social Studies/ Coach LOCATION: Flatonia Secondary SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with FISD Teacher Pay Schedule LENGTH OF WORK YEAR: 187 days + Coaching duties POSITION SUMMARY: Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for academic success ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES: • Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills • Present subject matter according to guidelines established by the Texas Education Agency • Must be familiar with classroom management techniques • Maintain all records and documentation required by TEA and local administration • Work cooperatively and constructively with other faculty, staff and administration • Perform other duties as assigned by campus administration • Excellent organizational, communication, an interpersonal skills • Knowledge of coaching techniques and procedures • Knowledge of University Interscholastic League (UIL) rules • Ability to instruct and supervise student athletes • Ability to pass US Department of Transportation alcohol and drug test and annual physical |
| Qualifications: | POSITION REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an Accredited College Experience: Successful classroom teaching experience preferred, but not mandatory Licenses/Other: Hold valid Texas Teaching Certificate Secondary Social Studies Composite; Grades 6-12 (Or Similar Certification) |
