| Description/Notes: | Assist the Director of Transportation in the oversight, management and administer the District's transportation operations and activities in a manner which supports the district's educational mission, goals and objectives, and promotes safety and efficiency. Coordinate various things such as routing of pupil transportation for regular and special needs programs districtwide to ensure safe, efficient, timely, and economical transportation services. Manage and coordinate transportation employees including, hiring, training and the recommendation of disciplinary action. |
| Qualifications: | Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree preferred and or 5 years experience in the school bus transportation industry Texas Commercial Drivers License and appropriate endorsements required to operate a school bus TEA school bus driver certification Certifications in Texas School Bus Driver Safety Training and Texas Association of Pupil Transportation preferred Experience Minimum of 5 years experience in transportation operations |
