| Description/Notes: | Direct the Districts Special Education program to ensure provision of needed services for special needs students. Provide individualized education plans to meet the needs of all students and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal requirements. Provide support services for special education to district administrators, teachers, parents, and community. Support and maintain a high-quality special education program to maximize academic outcomes of students. |
| Qualifications: | Education/Certification: Master's degree from a recognized, accredited college or university. Supervisory and/or Mid-Management certification preferred. Valid Texas Teacher Certificate or Teaching Certification from out of state appropriate for position. Experience: Minimum of five years Special Education teaching experience and/or special education certification or minimum of five years experience in SPED service area\ required. Leadership experience in a school and/or district department. |
