| Qualifications: | Education: Bachelors degree from accredited university Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned (Coaching: Valid Texas Commercial Drivers License (Class B with School Bus (S) and Passenger (P) endorsements and CPR/First Aid Certificate) Experience: At least one year of student teaching or approved internship (Coaching: Four years of experience preferred as coach or participant in sport assigned) Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of core academic subjects assigned General knowledge of curriculum and instruction Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills (Coaching: General knowledge of coaching techniques and procedures and Knowledge of University Interscholastic League (UIL) rules) |
