| Description/Notes: | Assist campuses in planning for students with the goal of accessing and completing a post-secondary education. Engages students, parents, teachers, counselors, administrators, and other key stakeholders to accomplish such goals. Coordinates and delivers after school/summer programming and events that supplement school-day programming and further prepare students for post-secondary success. More specifically, the College and Career Readiness Advisor will provide guidance and support for curriculum, professional development needs, career exploration/experiences, and industry certifications as well as coordinate instructional programs on a district level. The Advisor will also coordinate and provide campus resources for college bound students and those weighing college and career opportunities, including creating a bridge for the transition between high school and first time in college as well as summer programs for post-secondary preparation. The Advisor will collaborate with other departments and with District partners to improve college and career readiness and serve as a liaison to college and career opportunities. |
| Qualifications: | Education/Certification: Teacher Certification Masters Degree (preferred) Special Knowledge/Skills: A comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of curriculum, instruction and technology Strong organization, communication, public relations and interpersonal skills Experience: Three years of teaching experience or experience in working with children |
| Salary Range: | Salary will vary based on credentials and work experience. This position is dependent upon grant funding. |
