Description/Notes: Leadership Development: Align district and campus planning for improvement. Facilitate the development of the District and Campus Improvement Plans. Coordinate processes for principals’ learning and professional growth. Develop and implement professional development sessions aligned to district goals for principals and assistant principals. Improve the data support system of measures to enable students and staff to effectively use data to increase learning. Conduct campus visits and provide feedback. Support communication and collaboration between and among campuses, parents, district departments, and other customers. Facilitate task force meetings or other improvement team efforts as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent. Manage department resource allocation to effectively support campus and district goals. Attend Board meetings. Attend other meetings, including nights and weekends, as assigned. Serve as professional role model for staff; demonstrate high ethical standards, excellent attendance pattern, and commitment to continuous professional growth and improvement. Perform other duties as assigned. Work with principals to plan, implement, and evaluate the campus instructional program. Provides leadership and support for campus administrators to foster their growth as instructional leaders. Supports campus management systems to encourage positive student behavior, self-esteem, and a supportive climate for maximum academic achievement. Student Services: Supports campus management systems to encourage positive student behavior, self-esteem, and supportive climate for maximum academic achievement. Use data to improve outcomes of student services programs. Provides professional development for administrators in the areas of policy and procedures. Works with principals to plan, implement, and support the campus and/or district procedures, policies and regulations. Acts as a resource to K-12 campus administrators on consultation for fair and consistent implementation of procedures in discipline, student issues, board policy, regulations, etc.Complements the efforts of principals to achieve district and campus goals. Coordinates district compliance in the areas of students and services. Oversees the district admissions and enrollment process.Coordinates K-8 summer enrollment.Hears and responds to student campus transfer requests.Ensure that Student Services is effective in supporting educational goals.Oversees the district discipline management program and procedures. Coordinates the annual review and writing of the Student Code of Conduct. Coordinates the annual review and writing of the Student Handbook.Hear and respond to complaints/concerns from staff, parents, and community members. Work with principals to plan, implement, and evaluate the campus instructional program.Conduct on site visitations with campuses as necessary.Resolve conflicts and work in harmony with others.Ensure the administration of fair and consistent discipline in schools.Provides leadership and support for campus administrators to foster their growth as instructional leaders. Supports campus management systems to encourage positive student behavior, self-esteem, and a supportive climate for maximum academic achievement.
Qualifications: Master’s Degree in education or related field required. Doctorate preferred. Mid-management or principal certification. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of curriculum and instruction; effective leadership strategies; UIL rules and regulations; District policies; acceptable human resource/supervisory practices and principles; systems thinking and continuous improvement philosophy. Skills in self-direction, strong organization; coordinating multiple tasks; communication, public and interpersonal relations. Skill in making oral and written presentations. Ability to evaluate instructional programs, manage budget and personnel; implement policies and procedures; manage multiple priorities and projects; use computer and application software.
Salary Range: $497.83 - $592.45 daily rate
