|Job Title:||Student Information System Analyst/Programmer|
|Description/Notes:||Develop, maintain, and train on programs and reports for data contained in the SIS system.
Assist the Director of Technology in the management of the SIS system for use by district staff.
Respond and fulfill requests for support from end users and develop appropriate reports to support administration, campus and teacher needs.
Collaborate with other departments to develop enhancements to the SIS software and other applications.
Interact with software vendors to make improvements to the district’s core applications.
|Qualifications:||Bachelor degree in computer science, computer information systems or related field with related technical experience as deemed acceptable.
District, campus or professional experience or any equivalent combination of experience which providesthe required skills, knowledge and abilities.
Experience with the TEAMS software system.
Knowledge of database design, database management or web application design.
At least 5 years experience programming in SQL, RPG, Crystal Reports or other programming languages.
Experience with IBM AS/400, iSeries, eSeries or Unix servers and operating systems.
In-depth knowledge of school business and student data and TEA reporting requirements.
Advanced knowledge and expertise in Windows based PCs and Microsoft Office Professional
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Well developed conceptual, analytical and abstract reasoning skills.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in an environment where interruptions occur often.
Ability to work under stress and on occasion after normal work hours.
