|Description/Notes:||Performance Effectiveness: Instructional Program and Supports
Identify and evaluate children with speech or language impairments.
Write evaluation reports within timelines for evaluations conducted.
Conduct initial, annual and 3 year reevaluations within timelines for speech students.
Develop appropriate goals and objectives for the students in the program.
Conduct, attend and/or provide information to the ARD/IEP committee as appropriate.
Obtain referral for medical or other professional attention necessary for the habilitation or prevention of communicative impairments.
Maintain responsibility for material needs and inventory of materials.
Conduct speech and language services for the habilitation of communicative impairments that adversely impact the education of the student.
Assist teachers, parents, and students regarding speech and language strategies.
Submit schedules or reports as requested including Medicaid and inventory reporting .
Provide accurate and current classroom performance written documentation.
Maintain knowledge of required state and federal regulations.
Maintain current knowledge of TEKS and assist with campus staff development as requested.
Conduct duties within required timelines.
Performance Effectiveness: Community/Parent / Student Communication
Assist parents and students regarding speech and language strategies.
Collaborate with local agencies, physicians as needed.
Coordinate with local ECI programs as appropriate.
Assist with Child Find as requested.
Assist the special education director in assigned duties.

Minimum: Master’s Degree
School experience preferred
